Showing a floret I had to remove to aid identification. Variously described as "two-lipped" in one book and "1 lobe more deeply delimited" in another. I see it as three (upper) lobes distinct from the other two.

Other features in the keys agree anyway but this one is confusing !

Pappus hairs crucially not branched. (These are "simple to toothed hairs".)
