Powys (Radnorshire). Stanner Rocks, the only known UK site for this flower.

The Warden, Andrew Ferguson, will show the flower to interested visitors by arrangement. It is indeed essential to have his guidance for safety reasons (the plants and people !). Contact the Countryside Council for Wales (0845 1306229) for further information.

Very few plants produce flowers in any year - even though the site has many plants over a wide area. The plant is very vulnerable to ill-placed walking boots and many of the locations where it grows can be treacherous.
